Da Movement Detroit Adventures

My name is Squirrel, and that’s the truth, A furry friend, with boundless youth. I live in forest a special kind With four friends a unusual find

Here we go on quest began, a Detroit dream, To reach the city, a vibrant gleam. To make a difference, bold and bright, And chase away the endless night.

With Godfather, the bear so grand, Though several palsy shook his hand, His heart was strong, his spirit free, A gentle giant, you'll agree.

Then Gotti came, a fledgling bold, An eagle young, a story told. He soared so high, he saw so far, Our guiding star, our hope's bright scar.

And Scooter too, a crow so clever, With maps and plans he'd hold forever. He knew the roads, the paths to take, For Detroit's sake, our journey make.

The last freind of our crew A lion name microscope it's true He was a big boy with a loving heart We knew from the start this was our part

We packed our bags, a meager fare, A promise whispered in the air. "To Detroit town, we'll make our stand, And lend a paw, a wing, a hand!"

The journey started, long and steep, Through fields of green, and canyons deep. We saw strange sights, we heard strange calls, But kept our eyes upon the walls Of Detroit, rising in the haze, A beacon bright, in coming days.

The rusty cars and broken signs, The hope, the dreams, in weathered lines. But onward still, we bravely trod, With faith in friendship, and in God.

One day I sighed, my paws were sore, "Oh Scooter, friend, I can't take more! This endless trek, it wears me down, Is there a place to rest in town?"

Scooter cawed, and flapped his wings, "I know a place, where solace sings! An old brick building, left behind, A mile and half, if you don't mind."

We pressed ahead, with weary might, Towards the promise of the night. And as we neared, the building gray, A figure blocked our weary way.

A lion sat, with mane so proud, His gaze was strong, his voice was loud. He watched us come, with solemn eyes, Beneath the faded, twilight skies.

My heart beat fast, a nervous drum, "A lion here? What have we become?" Could this be danger, fear, or threat? Or something else, we hadn't met?

"I'll handle this," I bravely cried, And scampered forth, with naught to hide. I zoomed right up, the lion near, And spoke to him, dispelling fear.

"Hello there, Lion, big and bold, My name is Squirrel, or so I'm told. We're travelers here, just passing through, And wondered if, perchance, we few Could rest a while, within this place? A moment's peace, a saving grace?"

The lion blinked, a thoughtful stare, "You know I'm a lion, right? Beware!" He said it low, with rumbling sound, As if surprised I stood my ground.

I chuckled then, a nervous squeak, "Of course, I know! But what I seek Is simple shelter, nothing more, To rest my paws upon the floor."

The lion sighed, and shook his head, "My name is 'microscopeScope," the lion said. "Microscope, because you see, I analyze, eternally. I study things, both big and small, And ponder on the fate of all.

I've been alone, for many years, An outcast, drowned in silent tears. Because I'm different, so they say, I've walked a solitary way."

"Different's perfect!" I declared, "The very thing we've always shared! Come join our group, don't be afraid, We're underestimated, unafraid!"

"Hey guys, come over here, it's fine!" I called to them, "This friend of mine, He's joining us, along the way, To Detroit town, without delay!"

They gathered 'round, with curious eyes, Surprise and wonder in their cries. "A lion, Squirrel? Just look at you! Convincing lions, it's true!" Said Scooter

Godfather chuckled, deep and low, "Improvise, adapt, and grow! Isn't that the lesson we embrace? To find our strength in every place?"

We settled down, beneath the roof, A patchwork family, living proof That friendship knows no bounds, no breed, A common purpose, a planted seed.

We talked and laughed, and shared our tales, Of hopes and dreams, and windswept sails. 'Scope told us of his lonely past, Of being judged, and built to last.

Gotti spoke of skies so vast, Of seeing beauty fading fast, And wanting to protect the land, With his strong heart and helping hand.

Scooter shared his clever plans, To organize and lend a hand, To fix the broken, mend the torn, And greet each brand new morn.

Godfather told of gentleness, Of strength in kindness, no less. Of using might with careful touch, And loving others very much.

And I, Squirrel the chatterbox, I shared my dreams, inside a box, Of bringing joy, and making friends, Until our journey finally ends.

That night we slept, beneath the stars, United by our hopes, beyond all bars. A crippled bear, an eagle bold, A clever crow, a lion, we are told,

And me, a squirrel, small and fleet, Together bound, our journey sweet. To Detroit town, our path is clear, To banish darkness, conquer fear.

The road ahead may twist and turn, But with each other, we will learn. To face the challenges, side by side, With faith and friendship as our guide.

For in our hearts, a fire burns, A Detroit dream, for which one earns, A chance to make a difference true, For me, for you, for all to do.
