 Unicorns and Underdogs



I’ve never thought about givin’ up but then one day,  

There isn’t so much pain, it’s been constant for months,  

It seems years, maybe even, but then I met a unicorn,  

You say they don’t exist, but believe mine helps me every day,  

Stays in the shadows, just as she likes,  

I’m the only one that can see her - nah, she’s no John Cena,  

Only the true that believes in her peer,  

Her impossible as she just sits through life, no fear.  


ADHD’s real, can’t deny that shit,  

Improvise, adapt, overcome, gotta commit,  

You must realize, relax, focus, slow down,  

A superhero’s rise from the underdog town.  


I feel like the Italian Stallion in the last round,  

Throwin’ punches, takin’ hits, never backin’ down,  

Gladiator in the arena, can’t get up? Nah,  

I’m the Viking in battle, ready for Valhalla,  

Givin’ everything I got, ‘cause I know I gotta move,  

Ride that unicorn one more time, makin’ my groove,  

Never givin’ up, through the pain I won’t show,  

She fuels my will, like damn, you don’t even know.  


ADHD’s real, can’t deny that shit,

A superhero’s rise from the underdog town.  


Squirrel’s not just a pet, she’s my ride-or-die,  

She’s the one that whispers, “You’re just so cute,” oh my,   Don’t do stupid shit around my neck 

She always putting me in check 

Why can’t I hear? This  crazy unicorn is my vibe,  

No matter what, she makes me believe I can thrive,  

Phil Collins said it, “I can’t dance, can’t sing,”  

But I’m the one makin’ other look  fools while line like a kings

I got that fire, I got that heart,  

Unicorns and underdogs, we playin’ our part.  


ADHD’s real, can’t deny that shit,  

Improvise, adapt, overcome, gotta commit,  

You must realize, relax, focus, slow down,  

A superhero’s rise from the underdog town.  



So here I stand, bringin’ my dreams to the light,  

With my unicorn beside me, ready to fight,  

Respect the grind, never backin’ down,  

I’m the underdog hero, wearin’ my crown.  

Unicorns and underdogs, we redefine,  

Believin’ in the impossible, yeah, that’s  how love shine. Whether this makes sense to you or me, it made sense to her and that’s what matters most to me
